Performance Art

It was really nerve racking having to do a performance art because in our society now people judge you based on the way you act. My friends and I went with a spoof on the show Drake and Josh because one it's a super hilarious show. The part of the show that we did was when Crazy Steve was chasing Josh yelling "You ate my enchilada." and Josh's line was "I thought we settled this." It was a lot of fun to do and it was so much better to do with friends. When I was editing the video I noticed one guy was actually recording us and I was cracking up because I had no idea and now I have to tell my friend JP that happened. I circled this guy in red and there was also a group of three who were also confused about what was going on. I couldn't have imagined doing this on my own being able to actually talk as loud as I did hurt my throat a bit but it was still fun to do. Originally I was going to have JP chase me but he said it would be better if I was

Music

90's: Nirvana Virtual: Dethklok Hardcore: Black Flag Punk: Green Day Industrial 75/Goth: Specimen For the 90's I chose Nirvana because Nirvana was able to bring attention to music that most people had ignored or written off as bad music. Many people before Nirvana had played the very loud melodic music that they were doing it was just widely more accepted. Nirvana also had some different technologies that would go on in their music videos that hadn't been seen before. I think their work fits with technology and electronic music because they played their instruments the way they wanted to. They also incorprated technology and scenes that many people would see in an everyday.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vabnZ9-ex7o For Virtual I chose Dethklok because there aren't many like Miku Hatsune who are able to have sold out concerts and not even be a real person. Their work fits with technology and electronic music because they create animations with some of t

I forgot to take pictures as I was laying down the "grass", "trees" and "bird". I tend to get really into what I'm working on and forget about much else.  The "grass" was my arm moving as the printer was scanning, while the "trees" were my arm and hands, and the "bird" was my hand in the shape of a bird.   I added peace signs to make bunnies and fists for clouds.  Finished it and added some tree limbs and more clouds along with another rabbit.  Behind the scenes my dog wanted to be in the pictures really badly. She kept running in front everytime I was trying to take a picture so I was leaning over her for most of the pictures above.  I went for the realist movement where everything looked like how it was supposed to. It kind of made me think about how as a child I used to draw a lot of forest scenes with birds and bunnies. So I made this Tree forest having reminiscent memories of my childhood and

I first started by drawing a burning rose motif, and then I forgot to take pictures as I was putting cut up pieces of black construction paper into rectangles. The canvas I got was 18" x 20" but the rectangles I cut were 30 x 30.  This was my inspiration for creating the burning rose. It's from a show called RWBY (pronounced Ruby). I then started to add the decorative stones to make it actually look like a rose on fire.  I alternated between two different shades of red one was a bit darker than the others but you couldn't really tell. I also added some yellow and orange stones to give it the colors you'd see in a flame.  I then started to cut up black pieces of fabric into squares and put them in between the flames.  Finished with the black squares! It didn't quite feel finished to me so I decided to add a few more things. Finished! I ended up adding more stones on the black squares because it just didn't feel like a ro
