Summary of Opera

Carmen is about a woman who makes corporal Don José fall in love with her. Don José is already engaged to another woman named Micaëla, who in comparison to the boisterous, and flirtatious Carmen, is a shy and meek peasant girl. Don José gets imprisoned for helping Carmen escape her own imprisonment, where later they would meet at a tavern. At that tavern Don José gets into a jealous rage when he finds out that Carmen was dancing for his lieutenant, which makes him fight the lieutenant when he returns to the tavern which forces Don José to join Carmen’s group to their mountain hideaway. In the mountains Carmen tells Don José that her love is fading, and tells him to leave, then we see Carmen and her friends are playing a card fortunes games in which all she sees for herself and Don José is death. Don José leaves when Micaëla finds, and tells him that his mother is dying; he leaves but warns Carmen that he will return. Carmen now with her new fling Escamillo the bull fighter, Don José returns begging for Carmen back but she refuses, and he stabs her to death. For the game, it would be a sim dating game in which you would be able to play as Carmen and make decisions that would affect how her ending would be, with the choices that you pick you would either have a happy or bad end with Don José or Escamillo. The bad end would be him killing Carmen, while the good end with Don José would mean she would have spent her life with him happily traveling from one place to another. While with Escamillo her bad end would be she wouldn’t end up with either man, and her happy end with him would be spent in luxury and cheering for him as he is in the bullring.
